Bobby Kovey is an experienced business development and government relations consultant, having worked extensively in both the public and private sector.
Prior to founding The Credo Company, Kovey worked within various state offices. He began his career in government in the Ohio Senate. Later, he served as an aide in the Ohio House of Representatives. After his time in the legislature, Kovey managed and worked on several Ohio campaigns.
As managing partner of The Credo Company, Kovey oversees the firm's multiple lines of business – including business development, government relations, public-private partnerships, and private investment project development.
Since 2010, The Credo Company has become one of the top business development and government relations consulting firms in Ohio. The company assists organizations ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to non-profit associations.
In addition to managing The Credo Co., Kovey serves in other roles with partners across the state.
Kovey is one of the founders and Chief Advisor to the Ohio Information Technology Association (OITA) where he helps the tech community in Ohio foster productive relationships with the government and other businesses in Ohio. Likewise, Kovey serves a similar role to the Ohio Premium Cigar & Pipe Association,
The Credo Co.'s unique relationship with Signet Enterprises provides Kovey the opportunity to serve as the Director of Government Relations to Signet - a global private investment firm - while developing potential investment opportunities and public-private partnerships.
Born in Binghamton, N.Y. and raised in Pittsburgh and Northeast Ohio, Kovey is a graduate of The Ohio State University's Max M. Fisher College of Business. There he earned a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance. Later, Kovey obtained a Certificate in Catholic Social Doctrine & Business Ethics from Catholic University.
Bobby and his family reside in the historic neighborhood of Old Clintonville, and are members of St. Patrick Church.
In his spare time, Kovey enjoys spending time with his family, having a cigar, watching movies or following the Cleveland Indians, The Ohio State Buckeyes & the University of Notre Dame.
